On January 7-10, Niu Electric unveiled the CES 2020 show and released the world’s first self-driving three-wheeled electric motorcycle TQi, which supports 5G communication.
The self-driving three-wheeled electric motorcycle TQi will go on sale in the second half of 2020 as the start ingenuity of urban travel over the next decade.
TQi is Niu Electric’s first self-driving three-wheeled electric motorcycle, with an interspersed semi-enclosed body and -body roof design that continues and enriches the design language of NIU for round-the-clock travel.
According to the introduction, TQi with the distance radar with ADAS control vehicle braking, steering, ACC adaptive cruise, and equipped with a pre-collision system, automatic parking system, through the camera, sensors, radar and other 360-degree monitoring, can achieve the L2 level of automatic driving experience.
At the same time, TQi is also equipped with a dual front wheel self-balancing system, the use of a new balance controller, real-time induction of body tilt and control the front wheel balance bar telescopic, active anti-dumping, active positive, to maintain the body level, smooth every driving control. In addition, the TQi is equipped with SRS airbags, ABS anti-lock braking system, TC traction control and other multi-modal driver assistance system.
It is understood that the dual-electric drive tQi top speed of up to 80km/h, range of 200km, support smart chargers and smart charging piles.
Niu Electric founder and vice president of research and development, Hu Yilin, said TQi will be officially launched in the second half of 2020.
Niu believes that urban travel in the next decade will be a personal city travel network based on self-driving: it is conceivable that users can book a self-driving personal travel tool via their mobile phone, from route setting stoking to vehicle driving, and can quickly reach their destination without any action, enabling an efficient connection between travel needs and travel tools.
